8th March: “Sexism no way: Banishing inequalities”

The Catalan National Youth Council (CNJC) through the Gender Committee, has promoted the Campaign “Sexism no way: Banishing inequalities” to commemorate International Women’s Day.

The purpose of the campaign is to pay tribute and shine the spotlight on the feminist struggle of women in associations and to publicize the daily work done by youth bodies to promote gender equality, eradicate all kinds of male violence and demand women’s rights.

The online campaign was carried out the week before International Working Women’s Day, from 2nd to 8th March. During those days, the youth bodies and the Council took part reciprocally and interactively, generating discussion through the social networks. The slogan “Sexism no way: Banishing inequalities” and the hashtag #FeministesAssociades have accompanied a series of publications, photographs and articles about the role of women in the associative movement.
